The Groupement d'Intérêt Public (GIP) ESEA was born on October 1, 2017 from the merger of the 3 Groupements de Coopération Sanitaire (GCS) e-santé of the former Aquitaine, Limousin and Poitou-Charentes regions. GIP ESEA is the institutional player for digital health in Nouvelle-Aquitaine.
Its general interest mission is to ensure the development of e-health in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, in order to meet the challenges of improving care coordination and patient care. As a GRADeS (Groupement Régional d'Appui au Développement de la e-santé), it is the preferred e-health operator of the Agence Régionale de Santé (ARS) Nouvelle-Aquitaine, with whom it maintains a reciprocal commitment.
ESEA participates in the development and implementation of the regional e-health strategy supported by the ARS, in line with the common base of digital health services defined nationally by ASIP Santé. It offers a wide range of services tailored to the different needs of healthcare professionals and patients, and participates in major regional projects to transform the healthcare system through digital technology.
Its 3 regional agencies - in Bordeaux, Limoges and Poitiers - ensure that ASIP Santé is always close at hand, essential to the development of digital healthcare services and projects throughout the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region.
