The European Union Drugs Agency (EUDA) is the European agency that centralizes information on drugs and drug addiction. Created in 1993 and based in Lisbon, it has been fully operational since 1995.
Objective of this center is to provide reliable and comparable information on drugs to politicians, researchers and specialists so that they can have up-to-date information on the subject and offer appropriate answers.
They set up the European information network on drugs and drug addiction or Reitox, this network is made up of national focal points which collect information throughout the European Union.
The early warning system makes it possible to detect synthetic drugs, to assess their potential risks so that the Council of the European Union can adopt decisions on regulation and penalization throughout the European Union.
